WM - QA Tool privacy policy

WM - QA Tool - powered by BugPin, a Chrome extension published by WebMarketers. Last updated 25 October 2026.

What the extension is for

WM - QA Tool lets members of WebMarketers' team and its clients report bugs on websites. On the page you choose, it opens a bug report form, takes a screenshot when you ask for one, and sends your report to WebMarketers' own BugPin server, from where it can be passed on to the project's ClickUp list. It only works for people with a BugPin account on that server.

What is collected, and when

Nothing is collected in the background. The extension acts on a page only when you open the report form there (toolbar button, keyboard shortcut or right-click menu), or on a site where you yourself turned on "Load automatically". A report is sent only when you press Submit.

Data Why
What you type into the report (title, description, priority) and any files you attach The content of the bug report
Screenshots you take, including any annotations you draw To show the problem. You can cover sensitive data with the annotation tool before submitting
The page's address, title and referrer; browser, device, screen and viewport details; time zone and page load time So the developer can reproduce the problem
Console errors and failed network requests on that page, from the moment you opened the report form (at most 50 of each) Technical clues for the developer
Your recent clicks on that page: the type of element, its label, and for form fields only the field's name or placeholder, never what you typed The steps that led to the problem
The names of the page's cookies and local and session storage entries, never their values Technical clues for the developer
Your name and email address from your BugPin account So the report shows who sent it

What is stored in your browser

Where it goes and who can see it

The extension does not sell or rent data, does not use it for advertising, does not use analytics or tracking of any kind, and does not send data anywhere other than the servers named above. Data is not used for anything unrelated to reporting and fixing bugs.
